Thermo Scientific Model 80i Mercury Freedom™ CEMS
Selected for over 70% of utility boiler installations for mercury CEMS due to simplicity of technique, design and operation; minimal maintenance; and no hazardous waste disposal. Applicable to Cement Plants, Steel Mills and other processes as well.
This complete, integrated system comes in a smaller, neater package with only four components: at the stack a probe incorporating an innovative dry converter and HgCL2 generator; in the shelter, three instruments fitting into a standard EIA rack – a probe controller, an Hg analyzer and an elemental calibrator.
Even for low emitters with total stack Hg below 1.0 µg/m3, the 80i system can achieve a Minimum Detectable Limit (MDL) of 0.008 µg/m3.

Monitor over 10 Gases with one complete and compact CEMS Rack. Ideal for 40CFR60 Subpart jjjj (Quad-j) testing of reciprocating engines for: CO, CO2, NOX, O2, Methane/Non-methane HCs, and formaldehyde. Additionally, and Right out of the box, the 70i FTIR CEMS monitors SO2, HCl, NH3, NO, NO2, N2O and HF. Additional analytes limited only by available FTIR libraries.
